Boita Bandana: Odisha celebrates its maritime legacy
Boita Bandana celebrates Odisha's maritime heritage with miniature boats, cultural events, and a tribute to the sea god Varuna.
The stalls at the Odisha pavilion have been adorned with most admired handicrafts and handloom sarees which are unique for their intricacies and beauty.
The India International Trade Fair (ITTF) kicked off at Pragati Maidan in the National Capital on Tuesday. While pavilions at this international fair are offering amazing socio-cultural themes, Odisha is showcasing a spectrum of its products.
The products at the Odisha pavilion of the IITF at the trade fair include handicrafts and handlooms, Koraput Coffee and millet, said officials of the state government.
State’s Information and Public Relations Minister Pradip Amat, while inaugurating the Odisha Pavilion at the trade fair, expressed happiness at the antique look of the venue.

The stalls at the Odisha pavilion have been adorned with most admired handicrafts and handloom sarees which are unique for their intricacies and beauty.
Adding flavour to the antique terracotta theme, Koraput Coffee occupied a significant space attracting footfalls. The Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society has come up with several stalls with its handicrafts products like pattachitra, sabai and golden grass and paper mechie.
The Odisha government has given prime space to Mission Shakti under which 70 lakh registered women self-help group (SHG) members have enriched the state’s rural livelihood eco system.
Additionally, the state has also showcased locally-made products which have acquired global acknowledgements in sync with the theme of the IITF 2022 “Local to global, vocal for local”.
